After she went on Larry King Live to whine about her “First Amendment right” to speak as a wingnut without being criticized, “Doctor” Laura not only ate dinner with a black person, but also a gay!
Schlessinger replied, “I went out to dinner with three friends after Larry King. One of my friends who is gay is sitting there with another friend who is black, and he looks up and says, ‘I wonder what the media would do with this? You’re with a black guy and a gay guy.’ We laughed, because we all understand what this is really about — censoring a point of view.”
Ha ha ha, what a completely canned story! It could even be true; I wouldn’t put it past her to throw together a quick multi-culti dinner party with her bodyguard* and her florist, for the purposes of being able to tell the story to the press.
I’d love to meet her black friend that thinks that “Dr.” Laura facing a backlash over saying the N-word in rapid fire on the airwaves amounts to “censorship.”
*Remember, she said that she has a black bodyguard? According to Laura, he is good at basketball! I’m totally stereotyping about the florist thing, so deal.
