Because Missouri lawmakers are considering a “Don’t Say Gay” bill that would severely limit public discussion of sexual orientation, Republican Rep. Zach Wyatt knew he could no longer stay silent about his own sexuality. So he came out today, urged his party to drop the toxic bill, and expressed concern for the safety of bullied schoolchildren who, if the bill passed, would not be able to report their harassment to school officials.
