The News-Journal’s Ginger Gibson reports that The Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) is alleging that Delaware GOP Senate candidate O’Donnell used campaign funds to pay rent for the house she sold to a former staffer and boyfriend weeks before it was set to go to sheriff’s sale. CREW filed an complaint Monday with the Federal Election Commission and the U.S. Attorney for Delaware.
“Christine O’Donnell is clearly a criminal and, like any crook, she should be prosecuted,” CREW’s Melanie Sloan said. “Ms. O’Donnell has spent years embezzling money from her campaign to cover her personal expenses. If you need money to pay the rent and eat, you get a job; you don’t start a Senate campaign so unsuspecting donors can support you.”
When I used to debate O’Donnell, while she was a preacher with an “ex-gay” ministry, we referred to her as, “Crazy Christine”. We might want to reconsider and call her, “Corrupt Christine”.
Instead of fessing up, the slippery O’Donnell and her campaign have tried to play the paranoid victim.
“This is obviously a political ploy by the George Soros-funded, left-wing CREW, which has devoted itself to attacking Republicans,” a spokesman said in a statement. “Interesting that they have scurried around to gain headlines by attacking Christine now — they must be worried about Christine’s momentum.”
Yeah – and little green men from Mars are also plotting against Christine the Great.
If you live in Delaware and vote for this self-righteous, corrupt, hypocrite — you deserve the government you will get.
