This is a great video from the We Do Campaign, highlighting the inequality faced by LGBT people in Mississippi. As a Southern writer, it’s sometimes hard to explain why those of us who live in this region by choice are so unwilling to give up on this region. For those of us who from the South, it’s just home. As the video says, gay people live in every town in Mississippi. The same goes for Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama and all the rest of the Southern states. This is where the fight now goes.
