On Friday, the marriage equality bill in Illinois was not brought up for a vote, because there are still a couple of hold-outs. It’s sad that this is being delayed, but the bill is decidedly not dead, and moreover, we know which way history is going. Marriage equality will be legal in Illinois, and probably sooner than later. However, the National Organization for Marriage simply isn’t used to winning lately, so they’re running around like they’ve won the lottery. They released this pathetic, ugly graphic to celebrate their “victory”:
How does it teach you that? The bill is delayed until the special session later this summer. NOM has won nothing. I will remember to repost this graphic when Illinois does pass marriage equality, though. That much I know.
Also, I could design a prettier graphic in the Paint program that came on my laptop. Seriously, what is that thing?
