Yeah, so, we are very surprised that the first major athlete to use Jason Collins’ coming out as a hammer to condemn gay people is pro-golfer Bubba “Bubba” Watson.
Buzzfeed points out that he’s referring to ESPN’s Chris Broussard and his little rant about how Collins is living in sin and not a True Christian, and that moreover, the rest of the professional athletes who have weighed in have been incredibly supportive.
But not Bubba. Oh, Bubba. Bless your heart.
No offense to any “Bubba’s” out there who are nice people.
