Taking a page out of the American Christian Right’s playbook, Uganda’s official news agency is issuing a challenge for people to prove that LGBT people are being persecuted as a result of the passage of the nation’s severe anti-homosexuality bill:

The ink Museveni used to sign the bill isn’t even dry yet and we can already see the persecution over here in the United States. I have a feeling that their “challenge” will be met again and again, and that’s tragic.
