Jon Stewart attempted last night to make sense of the state of marriage equality in Utah, what with the fact that they had marriage equality, but now that’s on hold, but the federal government is recognizing those marriages, etc. Of course, the fact that it’s legally complicated at the moment bodes very well for our side, as rights have been granted and now taken away. But for now, as Jon Stewart sings, it’s more “here comes the brides / but only for federal tax purposes / otherwise it’s just Sharon and her roommate…”
He also discusses Oklahoma and Texas’s pride and joy Congressman Louie Gohmert.
