Responding to last week’s ruling, wherein a judge struck the part of Utah’s ban on polygamy which prohibited unmarried people from cohabitating, Rick Santorum tweeted this:
Frothy totally predicted that gay marriage would lead to Utah becoming the 50th state to legalize unmarried cohabitation.
Seriously. Does Rick just not understand the ruling? Or has he simply heard other wingnuts who don’t understand the ruling? Or is it just convenient to intentionally misunderstand the case, because that way you can use it to bash gay people?
It’s always so difficult to discern whether Santorum is being intentionally obtuse, or if he’s just being himself.
