As has been reported previously, several states don’t quite understand that, no matter how they feel on the subject of marriage equality, the military has progressed on the issue and treats all married couples equally. These states seem to think they have the right to defy the federal government by refusing spousal benefits for same sex couples employed by Guard units around the country. As Rachel Maddow explains, though, Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin takes the cake in the childish petulance department, as she has decided to cease all spousal benefits, gay or straight, just so she can continue discriminating against gay people.
Such interesting times we live in, where wingnuts, no longer anywhere near a majority, are showing their true colors on such a regular basis.
