Dan Savage spoke to HuffPost Live yesterday, and in the course of that interview, he answered a question from a straight Christian girl who supports LGBT equality: how can she be an effective part of the gay rights movement? His answer, and it’s one I’ve heard before and been inspired by in the past, is to get in people like Tony Perkins’ faces, and make it clear to them that they do not speak for “Christians” or “Christianity.” So often, Christians tell Dan and others like him that they’re Not All Like That. His answer? Don’t tell me! I know that! Tell them!
Nice shout-out to Truth Wins Out friend John Shore toward the end as well.
