Matt Moore, a self-loathing and sort of “ex-gay” blogger was caught using Grindr, a gay male hookup phone app, earlier in the week. Upon being matt-mooreexposed, he groveled to his authoritarian version of Jesus for forgiveness.

Apparently, prayer was not enough to stop the horny little devil from having a real life, rather than living in an Orwellian fundamentalist train-wreck that promises nothing but misery and pain. Overwhelmed with the temptation to be who he really is, Moore took extraordinary measures to continue his faith facade, selling his computer and locking his phone:

“I have sold my computer and have had someone put a lock on my phone where I cannot download apps or access the Internet through a non-filtered browser,” Moore told the Christian Post in a recent interview. “Ultimately, this isn’t the solution. My heart being captured by the grace of God and brought into humble obedience is the solution. But not taking precautions is dumb, so these are the precautions I have taken.

When asked how he would respond to ‘a Christian suffering from same-sex attraction.’ Moore replied that Jesus is better than sin.

The world will tell you to embrace your homosexual desires because it’ll make you happy in this life. Jesus tells you to deny yourself and follow Him and promises to give you eternal life if you do.”

On the plus side, at least Moore isn’t delusional enough to buy into the “ex-gay” myth:

I want to clarify that I don’t promote sexual conversion therapy or promote that people to try and reorient their sexual preferences. So much of what’s being printed are old ideologies of the “ex gay movement”, and they’re falsely being placed on me. I don’t support those ideologies and I think they are harmful.

I really don’t think I’ll ever be attracted to women. So I don’t encourage others to make that a goal, either. I simply encourage people to seek The Lord and seek the truth.

How sad to see an attractive, articulate young man like Moore throw away his life trying to please and appease people who loathe him for who he truly is. He has latched onto a child-like form of religion that essentially believes a “loving” God created millions of people across the globe to live desperately depressing lives as lonely and sexually frustrated men and women in order to get into heaven.

Aside from the obvious sadism in the guise of spirituality, why would any free thinking, intelligent individual pray to such a puny and pathetic deity?  The fact that Moore had to get rid of his computer and surrender his freedom, shows that he is headed towards a dead end in his life. He will eventually come out — the question is whether it will be sooner than later. My advice is that he runs as fast as he can away from the religious cult that is now ruining his life. And he should do it quickly to buy back his computer from the Pawn Shop, before someone else gets it.
