Yesterday, during a town hall-style campaign stop in Cincinnati, Ohio, Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan mentioned his opposition to marriage equality, characterizing discrimination in marriage as a “universal human value.” Watch the video below:

Repugnant, right? I felt similarly disgusted when Paul Ryan noted in his speech last month at the Republican National Convention that “rights come from God, not government.”

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want this guy’s exclusionary, apartheid-style views on “rights” or his anti-LGBT “universal human values” anywhere near the office of vice president, let alone a heartbeat away from the presidency itself.
