For three weeks now, the nation has been embroiled in a debate about chicken after anti-gay comments by Dan Cathy, the COO of Chick-fil-A, brought renewed attention to the restaurant chain’s alarming crusade against LGBT civil rights and its donations to a number of anti-gay groups, including Exodus International, the infamous “ex-gay” organization, and the Family Research Council, a certified anti-gay hate group. Unfortunately, in the era of Twitter and sound bite journalism, the story soon shifted from Chick-fil-A’s anti-gay corporate giving back to Cathy’s personal opposition to marriage equality, allowing proponents of marriage discrimination to distort the narrative and cast themselves as the victims, falsely alleging that their free speech rights were under attack for simply espousing “traditional values.”

Values? We beg to differ.

Many people don’t realize that Chick-fil-A’s intolerance extends well beyond the LGBT community: the company has been sued at least 12 times since 1988 on charges of employment discrimination, according to U.S. District Court records. They have allegedly refused to hire applicants who don’t attend church. They reached a legal settlement with a Muslim store manager in Houston who sued for discrimination, claiming that he was fired after refusing to say a Christian prayer. A woman in Georgia is now suing the fast food chain, alleging that a manager told her to quit work to become a stay-at-home mom.

We aim to tell the stories of people like these — people who’ve suffered discrimination from Chick-fil-A.  View the first video below:

If Chick-fil-A wants to talk about family values, we’re more than happy to have that discussion — because it’s one we know we’ll win.

If you’ve suffered discrimination or humiliation at the hands of Chick-fil-A, we want to help you tell your story. Until now, those who’ve been hurt by Chick-fil-A’s policies have had to deal with the consequences alone. However, by coming forward, you’ll help people learn the truth about Chick-fil-A’s real “values” and take an important stand for fairness and equality.
