Oh, lo, these past few years, wingnuts of the gay variety, the not gay variety, and the closeted variety, alike, have retorted to liberals responding to anti-gay bigots: “Wut’s the problem?! So-and-so has the exact same position on mur’ge as the President of the United States!”
Liberals always kind of said, “Well…not really,” but then the conversation would end because nuance was involved, and we all know that “nuance” and “wingnuts” go together like oil and water. [Seriously, it’s an SAT analogy. Look it up.]
But not anymore. Many people are saying “it’s about damn time,” because we always knew his position was political rather than ideological.
That being said, a moment of silence, everyone, for a GOP talking point that will never be uttered again on this green earth.
