Many supporters of Truth Wins Out may not know Gene Stone. However, it is time that you are introduced to this remarkable and talented man.
Gene is on our Board of Directors and behind the scenes he has played an instrumental role in guiding Truth Wins Out. His sage advice and dogged commitment to the organization has proved pivotal to our success.
Today, I am proud to announce that Gene is unveiling his exciting, new book, “The Secrets of People Who Never Get Sick.” As someone who gets a flu every now and again, I couldn’t wait to open the book and devour the first page.
What did I find? Well, I’m not going to ruin it for you.
But, I will say, that this is a truly remarkable book. As Dr. Caldwell Esselstyn (“Prevent and Reverse Heart Disease”) says on the back jacket, it’s a “one of a kind, masterfully researched encyclopedic reference of lifestyle concepts reputed to result in enduring health benefits” — but it’s also a terrifically well-written book, full of fascinating detail (does garlic really repel vampires?) and medical information (how long is the life of a germ?).
Moreover, the author tells the stories of twenty-five individuals who never get sick, which personalizes the book, differentiating it from the kind of data-bank medical books that line the book shelves–and also, for every secret mentioned, the author provides solid how-to advice on how readers can participate in the secret themselves.
The secrets are a wide-ranging lot from ones that you might expect (exercise, vitamin c, and a good diet) to ones that are a complete surprise (raw garlic, cold showers, and dousing your head in hydrogen peroxide). The author has tried almost all of them himself (as a vegan, he couldn’t eat the chicken soup), and then reports on their efficacy. Myself, I’ve now tried several of them. I am hoping that this is the book that will keep me well. I already know that this is the book that I loved reading and expect to read again.
